This notice explains what information the Blackrail Technologies website (blackrailtechnologies.com) collects, why, and what we do with it. We have kept the site deliberately simple: it has no advertising, no analytics, no tracking cookies and no user accounts.

Information you send us

When you use the contact form, we receive the details you enter:

• your name and email address,
• your company name, if you choose to give it,
• the topic you select and your message.

We use this information only to read and reply to your inquiry and to keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell it, rent it or use it for marketing lists. Messages are stored on servers we operate and forwarded to our business email inbox.

If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains, and use it the same way.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, our servers receive technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. We use it only to deliver the site, to protect it from abuse (for example, limiting how many messages one address can send) and to fix problems. Your IP address is held in memory briefly for rate limiting and is not stored with your message.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which provides our network security and connection to the internet. Cloudflare processes request data to provide that service under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies for tracking or analytics. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from automated abuse.

How long we keep information

We keep contact inquiries for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our business correspondence, and delete them when they are no longer needed or when you ask us to.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information you have sent us at any time through our contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor requests made under those laws.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form submissions are validated on our server, and stored messages are accessible only to our team.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change how this website handles information, we will update this notice and the date at the top of the page.
